Really, Will -
IMHO, this is one time you should have IGNORED the advice of JBWX to start a new thread - or even change the topic on the Subject Line! Your post is entirely within the context of Roosso's original subject relating to the potential flooding of tourist railroads (especially narrow-gauge ones?) by the expected over-abundance of retired baby-boomers with excessive discretionary income. IMHO, increasing the number of miles served by tourist railways - or at least increasing the carrying capacity of those already in existence by restoring several dozen steam locomotives - would be greatly preferable to decreasing the demands thereon by increasing the taxation of middle-class seniors or lowering the Social Security benefits promised them by the government when it absconded with a portion of their salaries.
- Sincerely,
Willie (Wm. Claude Johnson-Barr III, Esq.)
