As noted above, another One wonders whether enough Boobies have (been) committed.   May One (or two, or even three or four) assume that One's ticket on AmCrap (NOT AmCrash, as a crash could delay the train enough for us to miss Saturday's departure) is for a Thursday evening, March 10, departure from Los Angeles to Albuquerque, and that One might be available for a pre-departure VERY late lunch or VERY early dinner at Internationally Famous Philippe's (within walking distance of Union Station, IIRC.)

Two wonders:

1. Whether only One will be there, or should we count on a goodly number being present at Philippes AND on said train?   What about SoCal locals who would like to join the Boobies for a meal, but not the ride??   If more than two or three on the train, should we worry about being seated more-or-less together, and - for the sake of other passengers - isolated to some degree in a sort of Booby Hatch???
2. Whether a group of four to six (or maybe more) would be interested in sharing the cost of a rental car or van from ABQ to Antonito?   (With return to ABQ from Antonito on MONDAY, March 14, as driving for four hours AFTER an exhausting two days of trudging through the snow is probably more than several of us older Curmudgeons** could handle on Sunday evening.)

  *  What, more-or-less exactly, does "Fair Dinkum" mean?  I have a vague feeling that it is similar to "Jolly Good", but wish to avoid the possibility of inadvertently insulting anyone in the antipodes or using a term which might be offensive to the politically correct minority here on the NGDF.
**  So long as we're on the subject of languidge, I was greeted yesterday at a local sushi bar with, "Hai, Pappa-San!"   I assume, since I was seated and given a menu, that this was an expression of respect, roughly translated as "Hi there, Honorable Geezer!", and not "Hey! It's that Old Fart we 86'd last week!"
