I rember being on one of those trips with Jim Trowbridge when you remumbered one of the tenders for the trip. What ever tender you selected did not fit on what ever engine (I seem to remember the engine as 488 as you changed either a "9" to an "8" or a "3" to an "8".) The part I remember is the engine running around the yard with no tender while under steam. I also seem to remember that the first tender selected would not work because the drawbar was too short or long and we then had to go to the alternate tender and you repainted that on sort of on the fly. Memories are hazy but I think I have a picture of the engine with no tender under steam.
