1 / 2 This 130-year-old bridge across the Doe River on Railroad Grade Roan in Roan Mountain will soon be closed to rebuild the decking.
Story in the Johnson City Press here: [www.johnsoncitypress.com]

Now the bridge has been deemed unsafe and its future is uncertain.
