I spent most of Saturday and Sunday working with the track crew in the car barn and the new Upper Yard. My arms are still sore from swinging a spike maul, but I had a great time.
Here are some pictures from Saturday.

Laying track in the car barn. This is Bay 3, laid with 25-pound rail:
The track in Bay 1 (left) was laid with heavy 56-pound rail, but Bays 2 and 3 (middle and right) were laid with original 25-pound rail from the Kennebec Central RR.
Here are the markings on the 25-pound Kennebec Central rail. It appears to have been rolled in 1890 by the Pennsylvania Steel Co. (I believe the "45" is the heat number for that year -- it's certainly not the weight.)
