Joe Crea measured and drew for me the Elliot tall switchstand at the CRRM, I shared these drawings that were posted here on the C&Sn3 Blog [coloradosouthern.blogspot.co.nz]

As you can see the tall Elliot was used at Chama among other places, but the C&S versions shown in the photographs are the BUDA manufactured similar type with a different Button baseplate.(The Elliot at the CRRM was mislabled C&S.) There was a thread on these over on the associated C&Sn3 discussion forum, "How Do You Model Elliot Switchstands."

The Rio Grande more widely used the high Star Switchstand.
