Hi,
I posted

I was watching one of my John Wayne movies. I'd forgotten this movie showed no trains or tracks but in one shot in a canyon (dry wash?) there are trestle bents that most people do not notice.
I think it was filmed near Old Tucson.
1) first correct answer gets a paperback copy of my book about the Gainesville Midland and the three narrow gauge railroads associated with it.
2) Can anyone I D the filming location?
There is a misleading statement (Sorry about that - Old Tuscon was my guess many years ago but in the past few years I found out the entire movie was filmed at the same location). The entire film was on location (interior and exterior).
So:
Fact 1 - John Wayne Movie (he made 156).
Fact 2 - Entire movie was film was filmed on location.
Fact 3 - John Wayne's film production comapany - BatJac - was involved. (There were about 30 films (both western and not). So this occured after Stagecoach and the Ringo Kid.
I will provide fact 4 tomorrow.
