That is more what I would have expected. We have the specs sheets on 50/101 in our archives, but I hadn't studied them to see if electric starting was included. On the 30's 40's Cat engines that I am familiar with, one lever engages the pinion into the flywheel gear and the other is a clutch. I didn't follow why it would be a two man job to start as even a D7 of that vintage can be started hand cranking the starting motor by one person. Is the starting motor a 2 cylinder opposed engine? Perhaps the same or similar as used on a D4.
