Interesting that the Utah Rails write up mentioned L.L. Nunn twice, but didn't indicate his connection. Nunn is the fellow who brought in the world's first commercial use of alternating current at Ames Station near Ophir and Telluride and developed several hydroelectric plants in the west as well as Niagara Falls. I recall seeing his pass on the SL&M RR as part of his pass collection in the Special Collections at Cornell University where most of his papers are archived. I think that he may have been the president of this railroad for a year or so because of his building a power plant in the area served by the SL&M. His pass collection is stunning, and is in superb condition. The only passes that appeared used were the ones for the RGS and D&RG.
