Skip, when you say yellow, would that be the same as the amber lenses that are commonly seen on D&S trains now? I've seen those battery markers you're talking about. They look like the old flashing lights that used to be on roadway barricades until about 15 years ago. Ironically, we're using some similar ones again but they use LED's and we haven't had a dead battery on one in a long time. I'm mainly interested in old style, kerosene markers that would be on the end of a train until the newer style lights showed up.
As a side note, what was the deal with the red tape on the back ends of cars that I've seen in a lot of photos from the 70's? I guess it was reflective, but it reminds me of a Yankee prepping windows for their first hurricane after retiring to Florida.
