This whole section between Lizard Head and Snow was one that confused me back in the early 70's when, at about age 12 or so, I first got my father to drive that way. It wasn't until I got a look at the 1953 topo map of the area a few years later and I realized that hwy 145 had been moved down to the old grade from it's previous location on the hillside to the West that it all made sense!
