Re: Silverton Northern Progress?

We completed the first 300' feet of grading for our demonstration track about a week ago. Next we have to cut standard gauge ties to length, and then start in laying track. Several people have expressed a desire to help, and I'll announce work sessions when we get a schedule;

The SN group also moved the Silverton Northern 1005 caboose to a piece of display track on Greene Street 3 weeks ago to serve as an information booth for the historical society. We hope to promote the museum, mill tour and the mine tour. We are waiting for steps to be fabricated before we can start using it.
