Re: Got to love the 50's

After reading about the Uintah and this Gilsonite material, I was really surprised a few weeks ago to walk into a job and find a very 50's-looking yellow label with black letters on a gallon paint-kind-of-can that read "Gilsonite" that had just been delivered with some other roofing materials from a supplier here in town. I gave it a hard look over and noticed it did not read "Barber" anywhere on it, but rather something like "American Asphalt Co.". It was not some ancient stock, but appeared to be of fairly recent production. Never heard the name before hopping on this forum, and cetainly never thought it would still be around as an available product.
