Hello All,
It is a magnificent restoration. I remember her in front of the Mint (Museum) in downtown Carson City as a child. I don't remember whether I climbed on her or if she was fenced off. Regardless, it was great to see her under steam and to share the moment with my son. Congratulations to all involved and THANK YOU for your efforts.
Assuming a 2nd water glass and other safety appliances were added, was the boiler work done to Federal standards and appropriate reports filed so that she could operate off site in the future? Don't get me wrong - the important things are the magnificent restoration and the fact that she runs again. Being able to run off-site is what I consider a "nice to have" feature.
Thanks!
