Re: Check out the 'new Gramps tank car'

Chris Trunk, (the guy in the light green jacket and orange hard hat is the reason you guys and gals are looking at 3 frameless (Gramps) cars very close to riding the rails again. Chris got interested in the tank cars and wrote an article in the Friend's Dispatch newletter about them. He didn't just write and talk about 'SOMEONE NEEDS TO RESTORE THESE CARS', he led the teams for years helping to restore them as well as paying for many of the missing parts himself. It is the tank car project that led to the Friends going to Alder Gulch for 3 years on our 'will work for trucks' trade fixing up their railroad in exchange for some REAL UTLX arch bar trucks.

Thats what is great about the Friends is that if you are REALLY dedicated to getting a project done the organization will get behind you to make it a reality. Pretty cool.
