Now, if you listen to the hearsay that bounds around here (the railroad), the section from Waldo to Trinidad was supposedly given a waiver to delay the installation of PTC because of the lack of trains. There's also a wooden bridge outside of Watrous that was pulled down yesterday after #4 went by and replaced by pre-cast concrete structure (per another fellow co-worker who ran #3 in), so the Santa F... er BNSF seems to want to keep this line up, versus "arrested decay" they could just let occur.
