2003 Work Session Update

The time is quickly approaching for the Friends Work Session Projects to begin for 2003. For those that have experienced this wonderful opportunity to preserve, restore and maintain the unique and historic treasure called The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, we anxiously await the time to go participate in the Friends restoration projects. To our members new and old that are considering attending one or more work sessions for the first time, we urge you to come join in the fellowship we all share as a common passion and interest.
The work session registration packages are being finalized at this time. The distribution target date to mail the registration packages and post the materials on the Friends web site, is March 13th.
The following is a brief timeline of work session registration events:
March 13 - distribute work session registration packages
April 4 - registration deadline for May work sessions
May 2 - registration deadline for June work sessions and train host registration
July 1 - registration deadline for August work sessions
Tentative crew assignment dates:
May work sessions - April 25th
June work sessions - May 7th
August work sessions - July 11th
There is much to be done in the May work sessions and we would like to encourage people to consider attending one or both of those sessions. Several new and continuing projects are on the schedule for the June and August work sessions and we are anxious to continue with our historic preservation projects and interpretive history of the railroad.
