One of the fake stacks that has been in Durango in recent years WAS made for a K-36, and that one could be it. It looks very much like one of the K-28 stacks (#473 or #478) but was different dimensionally. The other two that resemble this one were sent to Silverton where they were placed in a dispicable display of someone's interptrtation of "art". The last, made as a replacement by the D&RGW for #476, is the one that is still used from time to time by the D&S for #473's "Bumblebee".

In 2003, there were four fake stacks in Durango and Hermosa, one made for a K-36.
