I don't have an exact tally. I spent some time looking through the records I have available and found that at least 5 box cars had Vulcan trucks. Tank car #99 had Bettendorf trucks. In 1937, SVRy purchases 10 flat cars from Stoddard Lbr. with Bettendorf trucks. In 1938 SVRy bought 7 more from Stoddard with Bettendorf trucks. In 1939 the SVRy car shop built 4 new 7600 series flat cars using Bettendorf trucks they purchased used from the Colorado and Southern. In 1943 SVRy purchases 6 flat cars from Oregon Lumber Co. with Bettendorf trucks. In 1942 10 flat cars were sold to the WP&Y some of which likely had Bettendorf trucks as SVRR got 2 or 3 sets of SVRy marked Vulcan/Bettendorf trucks back from the WP&Y. Apart from the lettering in the side frame they appear identical to the EBT trucks under the hopper cars. Actually the SVRy marked trucks may all be under EBT hoppers at SVRR. What I am not able to account for is how many of the 300 plus flat cars SVRy had beyond those mentioned above may have had Vulcan trucks as opposed to arch bars. Many of the retirement AFE's just don't address this detail.
