Actually no...at least in the Mother Lode region of Amador County. The closest rail line was the Amador Central which connected the sawmill at Martel with the SP terminus in Ione. Although the major mines (The Kennedy and the Argonaut were within a couple of miles The AC served and was owned by the sawmill. There were no direct Rail connections with any of the mines in the Mother Lode area although the SP. AC, and the Sierra were nearby
