There is a group of folk in Newfoundland who are trying to save/restore parts of the old railway, but so far no one in Trinity seems interested. This Facebook page can give some idea of what is going on: [

Clarenville has a nice museum, with an operating Plymouth on a siding. There are a couple of operating speeders on the island, but no coordinated operation - yet! Avondale has about 3Km of remaining track that is clear for speeders. Several stations around the island have displays of railroad equipment, and all but one of the locomotives have had their diesel engines, generators, etc. removed. Trinity loop has been badly damaged by flooding and is still mostly there, but no operable equipment.
