I mention this some time back cause I had advance info due to advertising.
Just got my advertisers copy of the May issue. 487 feature cover shot at Dalton with a freight by Scott Hartley. Inside a nice feature by John Gruber on the employees during the D&RGW days with some 60's photos. I have not read it but a shot of Eldon Morgan, etc, plus some action shots.
Looks to be a real winner. Also this is their tourist railroad guide issue so might be useful for upcoming trips to your favorite tourist RR.
Check it out at trains.com or your favorite bookstore(is there such a thing anymore!!!)

PS...Updating the above....the 3 D&RGW railroaders whose recollections appear in the magazine are: Gayle Cunningham, Eldon Morgan, and Stanley Smith. Interesting stuff.

PSS Also "Loggerhogger" Martin Hansen has a nice article on West Side Shay locomotives and where some of them wound up afterwards. So something for everyone in this issue. Trains tends to be diesel oriented for the modern railroader, but this issue has more steam.
