So I heard this as fact years back, but since I have no direct knowledge, it could be dead wrong. The story was that when 80,81, 70 class and the 90 class engine were brought south a large number of steam accessories accompanied them. The surplus accessories mostly ended up at Dollywood. I believe I heard extra dynamos and air pumps were part of this. The story was that a manager at Dollywood decided years back that this stuff was taking up space and was junk to dispose of and had it buried under a parking lot fill. Truth or fiction?
