Well..... almost. #5 is sort unique because it is an "80 tonner" that actually weighs 80 tons. When Lima designed all these engines in the early 1900's the class designation and actual weight were pretty close. But as time went on and heavier features and components were introduced, the actual engine weights got heavier. #5 is a stock 1905 80-ton 3-trucker with arch bar trucks, I-beam truss rod frame, and saturated boiler. #4 is a 70-ton 3 trucker, but has cast steel trucks, and a girder frame. She weighs in at about 80 tons. But she is still a "70 Tonner" as a 70 tonner has smaller cylinders and lower gear ratio than an "80 tonner".

In 1920 if you wanted a stripped down 90 Tonner with saturated boiler, I-beam truss rod frame, arch bar trucks and a 9 1/2" air pump, Lima would build you that and it would weigh about 90 tons. Or, if you really wanted to haul some serious logs, you'd add a super heater, cast steel trucks, a girder frame and a cross compound pump. Your new engine would tip the scales at over 100 tons. But it is still a "90 Tonner".
