I recall seeing plaques on S.P. SD-9s back in the day stating "Such-and-So Equipment Trust, Owner and Lessor"

Wasn't the D&RG Railway* in receivership at some time in the twenties, before the merger of the D&RG and the RGW?  Could that explain the ownership of the cars?  What's the date of the photo??
