Here's what I saw on my trip in 10/00 and some info from 1/2002.
Outside of Chama, stockcar 5636 still on it's side, and the roadbed is very intact. At Monero, 2 gons were on the ground, but they were sold recently and moved. At Dulce, the two stockcars are still there and they are planned to be restored in some fashion. At Navajo, the tank is in excellent shape and you basically drive over the roadbed. Many bridges can be found between here and Arboles. Don't remember any remains before Pagosa Junction, but at Pagosa Junction, the tank, bunkhouse, 6 carbodies, church, gondola, pumphouse, extra spout could all been seen. The tank is bad off. After that, at Arboles the two DB gons are still there along with the water tank. The grade can be seen in most areas when you are not driving over it, although we lost it after Arboles.
