Chama to Durango Roadbed

When I was in Durango last week I tried looking for the old road bed that went south to Ingacio. Since Durango is starting to grow a bit towards the south, its really hard to tell where it used to go if you've never seen it before. My question is what side of 550 did it go? I hear that Wal-Mart is right in the middle of the right-of-way, but that would make the tracks on the west side and there is a ravine just to the north of that shopping center. Are there any photographs of the tracks immediately to the south of town? I was successful in finding the old tank and gondolas at Navajo, south of 160. Where did the tracks stop parralleling what is now 160 and 550?
By the way, I dont know about anyone else, but I love the vibe you get standing there, in the wind, wondering what it was like with those whistles echoing off the hills in the distance. You cant get that anywhere else.
