I'm amazed that I haven't heard more from my post.
#69 is a saturated steamer. I read somewhere that #69 could have more than 30k of tractive effort. I don't know about that, since it would outrate a K-28. All her tubes are pulled and just about everything is disassembled. Everything is in an accompanying shipping container. There's several mysteries throughout the boiler and firebox. #69 hasn't been painted for awhile and could use paint on the boiler.
Nothing official has been released from WP&Y for quite a long time about #69. So, it will probably remain in Ft. Lupton for awhile.
