Hello all
I am working on a project to re create the Rollins pass Moffat Road portion of the old Denver Northwestern & Pacific (later Denver and SAlt Lake RR) that went "over the Hill" between Tolland and Fraser, with some of the route on the flat from Rolinsville and the other end to Tabernash. The route is created with the rails in place and the tunnels and trestles and the towns are started but working on them. It would be a huge help to have the USGS Map from 1910, Central City, Co 15' quad, is the name of that section map that covers it i think. Does anyone have a copy they would be wiling to share? This effort is non commercial and will always remains so as it is intended as a historical preservation for teaching and demonstrations for museums, schools and the like. Wont be fast or easy but it is a worthy effort. The eventual formal will run in several available RR simlualtion engines for computers. I am working also on the rolling stock with the wonderful assistance of the relevant Historicla Societies and others who have given great help. thanks for any help on this, it looks like the center for Southwest Studies at Ft Lewis may have the map but not sure if they will or can do scans of that size. I hope to find sometihng outside of teh USGS jungle but will dive in there if need be. thanks for any ideas and Happy new year to all.
the work is a combination of many efforts and will hopefully succeed in helping preserve some unique RR history.
