And just to expand on your point a bit, the EFDTC and the various mining and coal handling companies along the line had an interesting variety of smaller power from various American and European builders. And in the scrap heap were the remnants of the small European tank engines that originally powered the line. But my favorite, and I wish I had a better picture, was the shop engine that had been equipped with a ten foot (or so) tall stack, presumably to deal with smoke problems. It looked like a stationary boiler on wheels. And finally, there was this picture that I found mounted on the wall of a local museum.
