Shay & Heisler used Stevenson.

Climax used both Stevenson & Walschaert

Willamette used Walschaert and because of this, all 3 cylinders
faced out instead of forward and back like on the Shay. This was
a Willamettes major identifying mark as you could spot this, whether
it had slide or piston valves, from quite a distance.
