Thanks for the good wishes. Apparently I've had the tumor (golf ball sized) for 10-15 years. It was non-cancerous and caused no pain. The only reason we found out about it was when it got large enough the pinch the right optic nerve and cause partial blindness. It was intertwined with the carotid artery enough that they could not remove all but the docs expect radiation to fully kill the remains.
My vision is back but I lost the pituitary gland.
I recovered so fast that the doctors released me in 4 days instead of the 5-7 days they expected.
I just hope I can afford a trip to the promised land (narrow gauge) this year. I've got a niece (10) and a nephew (8) who want to go with me and my Mom (69) to the narrow gauge. They've seen the home movies of the C&TS and D&SNG and are anxious to go.
On the other front.
