I wouldn't be surprised, though sadly I don't have any of the RRs of AZ books. (Though they are on my wish list)

The only grade that was actually noted was the one just after the Horseshoe Trestle, which was 3%. Nothing is really said of any steeper grades. In the location diagrams in the Narrow Gauge to Jerome book, the grade from Horseshoe curve is the only grade noted. And hence my search for the grades on the rest of the route.
