Jackelopes have gotten so rare that the souvenir stores that used to sell stuffed & mounted ones have been forced to use fakes - rabbit heads with deer antlers glued on - which are easy to tell from real jackelopes that have the same sort of horns as pronghorn antelopes. (Antelocapra Americana, per my Webster's dictionary - although some folks insist that they are not true antelopes but just 'pronghorns'.)
