Thank you everyone for your kindness of words, and Paul, Chama does have a form of security of which I was totally scared out of my socks the first night that I was walking around taking these pictures by the depot. The Night watchman does make hourly rounds around the whole grounds, meaning the water tower and the the coaling tower area, and if he even has any suspicious feeling he checks things out. Twice, after the first night he snuck up behind me with out me even hearing him and said, "hello may I help you". I just asked him if I could take pictures of the engines and of the lights shining on anything in the yards that were railroad related. He said that he would keep an eye on me and when I looked back behind me again he was gone. I saw him in the engines stoking the fireboxes and then a few minutes later he was behind me again before I could adjust to the fact that he moved so stealthly around the engines and then behind me again. So as much as a few think that there is no security, as long as this fellow is on nights I wouldn't worry much. My hearing is very keen, and while I am deer hunting I can hear movement in gravel and a of course in leaves and trees. But this guy was good. Not sure how he did it but I had the heebeegeebees scared out of me more than a couple times just for the fact he was keeping me on my toes.
Still a Student,
Dave
