I am assuming the cars were the ones that used to set in the old rail yards in Rico. There were actualy several of them until the early 80's. This included 2 outfitcars/box cars and a couple of baggage cars as well. The baggare cars were rough, but I wanted the outfit cars.

I contacted the Rico Argentine mining Company and they gave me the cars, rail and the water tank! They said the equipment needed to be removed and gave me 30 days to do it. I got some of the rail and switch frog, and set up plans to get a truck in to load the outfit cars.

A week or so later, when I returned to get measurments and the rest of the rail, the cars had been dozed down, metal removed and the bodies burned.....by the mining company! They said they forget I had wanted them. I did convince them to leave the water tower standing....and they actually built a fence around it.
