When Matthew told me that he was going back to film I told him that real photographers need film in their camera bag. I learned on film and I miss it for many reasons.
Film teaches you respect for the image about to be captured. I feel that has been lost in the digital world.
It used to be you set it and take your shot. Not the machine gunning that the digital crowd does. Shoot 15 as it goes by and pick one good one. Not for me.
I still shoot one maybe two captures with my digital camera.
Now talk about the rich colors and textures film gives is another thing all together. I do miss developing my own images from years ago. Seeing it appear before you was always a thrill.
Very proud to see Matthew excel at his hobby of photography and getting the attention he deserves.
