When I lived in Rangely, CO I talked to an old timer (now departed) who said that he remembered when the Unitah was put in it was going to be about five feet in front his house. His dad complained to the survey crew about it, so they came back and moved it over about ten feet.

Guess things were a little simpler in those days.
