Mechanical Drawing:

D&RGW Card 8629 File C-256 Date 11-28-1940

Siding:
S.G. & N.G. box and refrigerator cars, engine cab lining & roofing.
Clear and better, kiln dried, flat grain, Douglas Fir except where
otherwise specified.

Tongue & groove

Stock length: 8' / 9' / 10' / 16' / 18' / 20'

Rough cut: 1" X 4"

Finished: 25/32" X 3-1/4" (HOWEVER,.. add 1/4" for the tongue portion
of the finished product. (i.e. total width 3-1/2" visible width when
applied to car 3-1/4")

Beveling of each outward facing side: 3/16" wide X 1/8" deep

Roofing & Lining:

S.G. & N.G. box and refrigerator cars as well as ends of S.G. &
N.G. stock cars

Also tongue & groove, Douglas Fir (wood quality same as for sides)

Rough cut: 1" X 6"

Finished: 25/32" X 5-7/16" (1/4" for tongue, visible width 5-3/16")
NOT BEVELED
