Jay at the Goat posted this note about the whistle blowing,

"It seems that Ken Matzik, former GM at C&TS, has a collection over 80 locomotive whistles. According to Alan, some model shop in Denver hired him to collect sounds from all of them. so they took 489 up to Ed's place this morning, and they've been changing whistles and blowing various patterns all day.
I hope Lorraine is out of town...
Jay"
