Bill,
Tresstle 28-A on the Uintah seems to fit the "timber" profile, but I'm not really on top of exactly what qualifies as a pile bridge. The 1915 ICC maps that I based my maps on, did not list every bridge on the Uintah as a pile bridge - that was me - but there were soem that were labeled "trestle bridge" that I have photos of that were definetly pile. Anyway good photos of 28-A can be seen on page 288 of Uintah Railway Pictorial Voume 1 and on page 196 of Bender's book. The bents were made of "timbers" (sawn lumber) rather than the round "poles" used on most of the Uintah's other bridges. Would like others to clarify some of the bridge terminology. Also bridge @7-A as seen on page 166 of URY Pictorial volume I shows another interesting bridge, compared to the standard Uintah bridge.
