Both 492 and 483 had their asbestos removed last fall.
Current thinking is that both will LIKELY be found to have better boilers than 497 and 463.
The current 'positioning' puts the shop queue at:
487 - In the shop, first out this spring
484 and 488 - in the shop, one will be Next out.
489 - Next in the shop
483 and/or 492 possibly next after 489.
463 may get to cut ahead in the line for sentimental reasons, or if a TON of money shows up for her, but a solid fleet of K-36 locomotives will likely be the first goal.
