"One theory I have heard advanced is that the planks being spaced apart allowed water from overfills and leaky tanks to run off onto the ground and not accumulate on the tops of the boards where it would cause them to rot out. RGS seemed to have some of the widest spacing, and some of the leakiest tanks!"
Herb, I'd find it more believable that the decking was spaced out to save a few dollars worth of lumber. ESPECIALLY if the RGS did it even more . . . <img class=" />
