I'm sure that the Cummins engine has the muscle to pull a Brill trailer car. I suspect that traction and not horsepower would be the issue, esp. on a steep grade. DV#5 only weighs 29,000 lbs. That's not much weight on the 4 driven wheels. The arrangement of the sanders is for stopping, not starting.
