Hi Wayne,

I'm sure you're already well aware of this reference, but the best information I've encountered on the Eames Vacuum Brake system is Hilton's "American Narrow Gauge Railroads" -- see pages 187-191. He cites an undated Eames catalog as his major source. Unfortunately, Hilton glosses over the kinds of technical details you're looking for, so it may be necessary to work from surviving hardware.

Apart from WW&F 9, the only other surviving narrow gauge locomotive with Eames vaccum brakes I'm aware of is Waynesburg & Washington 4 in Waynesburg, PA. There are also SR&RL coaches 17 and 18 in Phillips, ME that are still equipped with dual Eames vacuum and Westinghouse air brakes.
