It might be noted that the Uintah Ry ran two truck shays around 80 degree curves BEFORE the widened Moro Castle and other curves to 66 degrees for the 2-6-6-2Ts! If I remember right (questionable) Moro Castle came out to 12 1/8" radius in HO scale! Also, I studied the photos in my URy books and I believe they used D&RGW 3000 series box cars at one time. The cars were raised up so the flanges completely cleared the frames for truck swing and then trolley style swing couplers were hung with buffers on the ends. Brake rigging was also changed. The original curves required putting box cars between the coaches so the coach corners wouldn't hit! JP
