Thanks Guys, for the kind remarks about the ANNUALS. The reason we stopped publication was because of a decline in sales due to the closing of so many hobby shops, who handled retail sales of the ANNUAL. The books were distributed by Kalmbach. There simply were not enough subscribers to carry the load. Editor Russ Reinburg had already suspended publication of the prototype and modeling Logging & Industrial ANNUAL due to lack of subscribers.
Yes, there was a plan to consolidate all of the articles, maps, plans and illustrations into a single bound volume that would cover the entire D&RGW narrow gauge lines of the old Third (Marshall Pass) and Fourth (Cumbres Pass) Divisions, plus all of the branches into one book, covering the pre-WWII period until end of operations in words and pictures.
