Yes, I think it's safe to assume that any genuinely narrow gauge steel hopper in the US (not just a standard gauge steel hopper on narrow gauge trucks) is from the EBT, but the trucks offer definite confirmation. Still, it takes you by surprise when you encounter those "EBTRR&CCO" markings on a piece of rolling stock that's so far away from home rails. This particular hopper is in Chama.
The C&TS has 5 EBT hoppers on the property, 3 currently in Chama and 2 in Antonito. I believe they're in MOW (ballast) service.
I've heard both the Sumpter Valley and the White Pass & Yukon may also have one or more EBT hoppers on their rosters but I don't know how many.
Does anyone know of others out there?
