Thanks Jeff, I was hoping you would chime in. While we are on the subject of window treatments were there any remains on the Edna of the window screens that were used as shown in this John Barriger view from the SML? I would imagine the clerestory window/ screens would provide adequate ventilation when the car was moving but on the RGS that 1. might not have been too fast or 2. not at all 
The RGS office cars, both Edna and Rico, were set out for hunting and fishing expeditions so some window screens would have been handy in that case for sure.
