For those of you drooling over Kevin's photos of the recent WW&F Annual Picnic, another opportunity is coming up in a month or so, so you have plenty of time to plan. The WW&F's annual Fall Work Session is set for the Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 10-13. The primary project will be extending the main line north 600 feet or so, including construction of a switch and siding. Other projects will include work on 1891 Portland 0-4-4 Forney No. 9, painting, track maintenance and other tasks too numerous to mention. Lunch and supper will be provided daily through lunch on Monday. Vulcan Forney No. 10 will be in service, primarily providing work train service as the track is extended northward, while Plymouth diesel No. 52 and probably the Model T Ford railcar will also be active. All are welcome.
